Felix Georgii & Dominik Hernler: FOAMA
Whenever Dominik Hernler and Felix Georgii are going for a winch sesh together, you’re sure to be amazed. This is also the case with their new project, FOAMA, which has been created independently on various trips over the past three years.
“FOAMA” is german dialect and means something like “let’s go” or ‘off we go’. And the trip that Felix and Dom take us on offers everything you would expect from winching.
Under deep pedestrian bridges and over massive gaps. From man-made ledges and weirs to natural barrages. From waist-high handrails to house-high drops. From small streams to large rivers and other bodies of water. The Sculpture Winch makes it all possible.
Then the whole thing is paired with creativity, fierce skills and incredible style. In the end, everything in the edit is simply inspiring. Incredible, or as the boys would probably say: “Oiiiida!”
With Tobias Michel, Timo Kapl and Jules Charraud, the two of them have also received support that fits seamlessly into the action. Why did Felix and Dom do the whole thing on their own? Simply because they wanted to and were motivated.
The edit, for which none other than Andy Kolb has done the editing, will stay in your memory and you can already confidently say that FOAMA is an absolute highlight of the 2024 season. The boys spent around three years collecting the clips on various trips. That’s a good thing and certainly not the last time Dom and Felix will surprise us with something like this!
