Langenfeld Open 2024: The livestream and all you need to know
Everything you need to know about the hottest wakeboard contest of the year, the LANGENFELD OPEN presented by Liquid Force 2024. Livestream, schedule, setup and riders lineup – we’ll tell you!
Everything comes together again in Langenfeld. The best wakeboarders. The sickest setup you can imagine. And all this at the biggest wake park in the world. LAO is going to be intense – there’s no question about it.
The first weekend in May is all about the contest, which attracts all the big names to Langenfeld. On Saturday, May 4, 2024, the girls and boys will be competing for a total prize money of 15,000 US dollars. Of course, that arouses covetousness. But let’s start from the beginning.
The livestream
While Clint Liddy will once again be entertaining viewers on site, Matt Crowhurst will be commentating the stream from 2.30 pm German time. Concentrated expertise is therefore guaranteed, regardless of whether you are watching the action up close on the shore or at home.
The setup
The renderings of the UNIT hacks had already given it away and when you now see the whole thing in the water on the rider and event channels, you can’t help but be amazed. Next level is almost an understatement here.
PS: If you’re wondering where Section 2 is, it’s the kicker section.

The field of riders
Lots of top riders have announced their participation and they come from all over the world. Among others, the defending champion Rivers Hedrick (USA) will be competing in the Pro Women’s event. She will be joined by Claudia Pagnini (ITA), who will certainly be looking to attack again after a year out through injury. But Jamie Lopina (USA), Vanessa Tittarelli (ITA) and the other girls will also be fighting for first place.
Trent Stuckey (USA) will probably give his all in the Pro Men’s event to complete his hat-trick of titles. But some of the guys have something against that, not least local hero Nils Ritzmann, who already made it to the Super Final last year. Pedro Caldas (BRA), Busty Dunn (AUS), Joe Battleday (GBR), Trent’s brother Gavin, the Peacock Brothers Liam and Ryan (GBR) and some promising German riders like Felix Georgii and Nico von Lerchenfeld will also be competing.
So it will undoubtedly be very intense. If you can’t be there, set your alarm clock and tune in in time for the livestream from 2.30 pm.
