Rivers Hedrick and Trent Stuckey remain unbeatable

Over 4,000 fans, spectacular tricks and thrilling finals: the 2026 LANGENFELD OPEN presented by Liquid Force has wowed the crowds once again – Rivers Hedrick and Trent Stuckey take the titles!

Bright sunshine, thrilling head-to-head matches and an electric atmosphere across the venue: the 7th edition of the LANGENFELD OPEN presented by Liquid Force was a resounding success, attracting over 4,000 visitors! The winners were once again Rivers Hedrick, claiming her fourth title, and Trent Stuckey, securing his fifth LAO title.

60 riders from 15 different countries had travelled to the LAO. Following the morning’s qualifiers, the head-to-heads featuring the top 16 men kicked off at 2.30 pm. Particularly thrilling: both the clash between the two Americans, Luke Holmes versus Isaic Claudio, and the match-up between Riccardo Bussi (ITA) and Daniel Kleshchar (UKR) went the full three rounds.

Luke Holmes, who finished third in 2025, was beaten this year by 17-year-old Isaic Claudio. Just 15-year-old Riccardo Bussi crashed during a 1080 in his third run, thereby paving the way for Daniel Kleshchar to reach the Round of 8.

In the women’s competition, the last remaining German riders were eliminated in the Round of 8: Joelina Gerards was defeated by Rivers Hedrick, and Nike Hauser was unable to keep up with Campbell Scarborough despite some strong riding.

One rider surprised everyone round after round at the LANGENFELD OPEN: Ariano Blanik first beat wakeboarding legend Daniel Grant in the Round of 16 and then Daniel Kleshchar in the Round of 8.

... and the motto was clear too: ‘Send it’!

At 6 pm, it was time for the Super Final. The four female finalists were: Rivers Hedrick (USA), Claudia Pagnini (ITA), Campbell Scarborough (USA) and Nanou Lenaers (BEL). The male finalists were: Gavin Stuckey (USA), Trent Stuckey (USA), Ariano Blanik (GER) and Isaic Claudio (USA).

As every year, the standard of riding among the women was sensational: 720s on the kicker, 313s on the flat, grabbed flips onto the corrugated pipe and, to top it all off, a TS BS 900 from Rivers Hedrick.

In the men’s event, Gavin Stuckey got off to a sensational start with his first run: perfect hits in the pool section, an impressive rewind on the kicker and an East Mobe Nuclear on the flat. All eyes were on him for his second run – but he crashed on a double rewind on the kicker (BS 360 Melon – FS 360 Stalefish – BS 180), which his older brother Trent landed perfectly just seconds later.

Trent’s run also shone with a front KGB tailgrab and incredible control on all the features. No less impressive were Ariano Blanik’s runs – featuring a Pete Rose 720 on the kicker and a double backroll to revert on the flat – as well as Isaic Claudio’s runs, which included a KGB 5 on the flat.

At the awards ceremony, the announcement of the results was closely followed by hundreds of spectators, and a perfect day of wakeboarding was brought to a fitting close with champagne showers.

Of course, the lads couldn’t miss out on the champagne shower either
