Event Premiere: Niti Island Treasure Hunt 2025
The Niti Island Treasure Hunt will take place on November 2, 2025 — and here you’ll find not only the exclusive livestream but also all the key information about the event.
When some of the world’s best wakeboarders gather on a small tropical island in Indonesia, one thing’s certain: it’s going to be special. The premiere of the Niti Island Treasure Hunt brings together 19 selected riders from 14 countries – for a one-of-a-kind event set right in the ocean off the coast of Java.
Amid tropical heat, turquoise water and laid-back beach vibes, a format takes shape that sits somewhere between contest, treasure hunt, and friends’ reunion. Organized by Manu Rupp together with the former owner of the Epic Cable Park in Jakarta, the event has a clear goal: to push the Asian wakeboard scene and bring wakeboarding in Indonesia into the spotlight.
The private wakeboard island isn’t exactly unknown – clips and photos have surfaced on social media over the past few months. Now it’s time for a closer look – and for the first time ever, a live broadcast.
The setup features six creative obstacles – a mix of hacked UNIT pieces and custom-built pirate add-ons that carry the theme all the way through. Highlight: the quarter pipe right by the sea.
Format: The day starts with the men’s eliminations – three heats of four riders each, with the top six overall advancing to the final in the afternoon. Before that: the women’s final with four riders. Each rider has four runs: the first two for the Best Line, followed by two for the Best Trick. The two highest scores count.
