Pooltastic 2025: Everything you need to know about the Indoor Contest

A top notch lineup of riders, a cool setup and an even better view of the action on the pool at boot Düsseldorf will once again make Pooltastic the highlight of the trade show on January 24 and 25, 2025!
Pooltastic is firmly established at boot Düsseldorf. Every year, some of the biggest names in wakeboarding meet ambitious challengers here and battle it out for victory in summer temperatures and bright blue water. This is made possible by the pool with System 2.0 and Unit Feature Setup, which is installed separately.
If you are now curious, we have collected all the important information. As always, the action takes place on the second weekend, which has unofficially established itself as Wakeboard Weekend. The venue is once again Hall 17 of Messe Düsseldorf, which this year awaits visitors with a completely new design. In addition to the modern industrial look, even more visibility around the pool has been created. So you can look forward to it!

These guys provide action on the water
As in previous years, a total of eleven wakeboarders will be competing in 2025 to secure as much of the €3,000 prize money as possible. While five riders are seeded for the final on Saturday, six more will compete in the qualifiers on Friday to secure one of three free spots on Saturday.
Riders seeded for the final:
- Guenther Oka, USA
- Liam Rundholz, GER
- Jan Gnerlich, GER
- Miles Töller, GER
- Carlo Hüsing, GER
Riders competing in the qualifier:
- Daniel Klechshar, UKR
- Jan-Luca Schulz, GER
- Justin Spenner, GER
- Tobias Färbers, GER
- Henri Dollenberg, GER
- Pepe Kienzler, GER

The format and the setup
“Never change a running system” – the format remains true to this rule. First, the qualifiers will battle it out in a jam session on Friday for one of the remaining three places on Saturday. Two riders will then meet in the first round in head-to-head mode. The winners of the four pairings get a place in the Super Final, where it’s all to play for – or rather, who gets to secure the win and therefore €1,000 prize money. The other runners-up will also receive 700, 400 and 300 euros and the boys from the first round will not go away empty-handed either.
And because last year’s setup delivered what it promised, everything remains the same here. The 60-metre-long pool is once again transformed into a wake park thanks to a System 2.0 that provides the pull, a Unit bump that guarantees plenty of airtime and a Jersey Series feature that challenges the riders’ creativity. And all this in the middle of the German winter with 30 degree air and a pleasant water temperature. boot Düsseldorf makes it possible!

If that wasn’t enough reasons to visit Düsseldorf, here’s one more. We’re not talking about Wakeboard Weekend for nothing, because on Friday evening, January 24, the Cable Mekka Awards Show will take place again after the qualifiers. So will 2025, but this time in a new location at the Atelier Kino in the Savoy Theater at Graf-Adolf-Straße 47. Doors open at 8.30 pm and if you want to be sure to secure a seat, don’t arrive too late. Afterwards, you can chat and enjoy a drink or two in the foyer of the cinema at the After Hour presented by Liquid Force. If you haven’t voted for your favorites yet, you can do so here until 11.59 pm on 19 January: www.cablemekka.com/awards
So, the plan for the last weekend in January is clear. Off to Düsseldorf, experience two days of boot Düsseldorf with Pooltastic, stop by the Awards Show and the After Hour and recharge your batteries for the new wakeboard season. You might even be able to get your hands on some equipment at the trade fair. See you there!
