Park or street? Both
Why? Because I love both.
Cable or boat? Cable for sure.
Scariest experience in wakeboarding? I got sent flying off a quarter pipe at Niti Island and ended up needing surgery haha. I thought I was going to fly over the other side and land on the sand. Luckily, I didn’t!
Best video part ever? Beyond Perception. By fucking far the best part ever.
Contests or filming video parts? Honestly, I really enjoy doing both, but if I had to choose one, it would be video parts. I love the freedom to create and approach every project differently.
Favourite rider to watch? Wooooow, there are so many. Muncey (Muncey), Beni (Bodoki), Luiz (Batista), Rien (van der Pas), Enzo (Asseraf), Pedro (Caldas), Tino (Valentino Chiche), Kirill (Savin)… so many that you can’t choose one.
Most stylish rider right now? Fuuuuuckkkkk, so many 😂 Beni, Muncey, Luiz, Rien, Enzo, Pedro… too many, man haha.
Most underrated rider? Right now, it’s Tino for sure. He can do anything. Same with Bhraebhim (Pipatsawaddhi). Both are killing it so hard, and it’s nice to see they’re starting to get recognized.
Now, lets talk behind the scenes…
Other hobbies? I enjoy getting on the decks sometimes, partying, café hopping, cooking and watching films.
Biggest fear in life? Damn, that’s deep 😂 Ummmmm, I guess not seeing my family enough. I should see them more.
Biggest regret? Probably not waiting another 30 seconds before the cable went crazy and sent me into that quarter pipe at Niti. If I had waited, maybe I wouldn’t have gotten fucked. Who knows.
What keeps you excited about wakeboarding? Homies, getting creative with films, content, events and merch. Spicy.Collective is what keeps me excited to always keep pushing.
What does a perfect season look like for you? Release a film or two, shoot some other people’s films, get a few podiums and stay healthy.
Lukes’ opinion on…
What has changed the most in wakeboarding since you started? The level. The level has just gone crazy high year after year. And I guess it’s no surprise that the financial situation isn’t what it was before. It just seemed like the industry had more backing from brands outside the sport. Sure, that backing isn’t here now like it was, but I feel like the riders are hungrier than ever.
Most annoying thing in wakeboarding? The lack of events during the European summer. I’ve been going for four seasons now, I think, and every year there have been fewer and fewer events. It’s annoying for someone who comes from Asia when you have a month-long gap between events.
Something people should pay more attention to in wakeboarding? The people who are actually killing it. Riders and the people behind the scenes.

What’s next for you? I finally feel strong enough to start filming and stacking some clips. That’s all I want to do this winter. Travel around Asia and film all day, every day.
