Why? Because it’s the best thing since sliced bread! Winching the streets is unmatched, it’s the coolest thing in wake and you know it!

Cable or boat? 2.0

Scariest experience in wakeskating? Winching with gators. I was winching with Bammer at a spot in Tampa filming for Istudiomo some years ago with a gator drifting around in the pond, put us slightly on edge but luckily the lurking eyes didn’t come too close 👀

Other hobbies? Mostly photography lately, got a fujifilm cam, one of the older models and I’m really enjoying figuring it out whilst currently on a big backpacking trip around south east Asia. Videography/editing has also sparked more so during this trip! @mooreollie on insta and @mooreollie6 for my YouTube if you want to check out what I’ve been up to. I’ve also loved to skateboard since I was young and snowboard when I can, and do art, mostly simple traditional tattoo styles or abstract shapes/designs on Lino.

Biggest fear in life: Not making the most of it.

Biggest regret: Not preventing knee injuries.

What keeps you excited about wakeskating? The feeling, like cruising around on a skateboard. Pure bliss 💫

What does a perfect season look like for you? Travelling and riding when I can, connecting and spending time with friends, meeting new open minded people and learning more about my interests.

What changed most in wakeskating since you started? The growth of the sport. It’s had many ups and downs, good and unfortunate but wakeskating will always be wakeskating. One of the sickest sports to be and I’m very appreciative of being apart of it and what it’s done for me in life. The experiences I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying, the numerous trips, places it’s taken me around the world and the amazing people I’ve got to meet and connect with. Lucky to be one of a small percentage of people on this weird and wonderful planet to experience what wakeskating is.

Now get deeper into Ollie’s opinion.

Most annoying thing in wakeskating? It doesn’t get the credit it deserves sadly. But I also really like the remote/underground aspect of it, like how sick it is and not many people have even heard of it but when you tell them or show them, they are hyped and very impressed.

Something people should pay more attention to in wakeskating? Winching. When wakeskaters make a winch trip happen and produce a sick video. Working on a project like that takes a lot of skill, time and organisation, there’s so much effort and little but high reward throughout the process. It truly deserves more attention.

Dream sponsor: A big Airline company for free flights would be dreamy! But it would be great to see a high end action sports brand really support and invest in wakeskating again like Nike once did.

Hot take: A butt checked trick doesn’t count even if it’s claimed on the ride out.

One last hot take: The best wakeboarders are the ones than can wakeskate too.

Final thoughts.

What’s next for you? So currently in China, then Indonesia left of a big backpacking trip. Me and my partner was living and working in England but have saved up and quit our jobs, after south east Asia we are going to live in Australia for a bit, see how it goes. She is from there so a good reason to head down under to visit her family and friends and a new life experience! Not to mention I’ve got some OG wakeskate mates from that way, so be good to catch up with those legends some more.

Advice to your younger self? Keep saying yes to trips and experiences, make the most of life, live in the moment but cherish those moments as they happen. Try harder at school, don’t be so shy, always be kind, open and put lots of love into your passions, family and friends. Look after your body so you can keep riding hard as you get older and don’t worry what everyone thinks or judges. Do what you know is the right thing to do, believe in yourself.
